Megan Mitchem
Clinical MSW Student Intern
You’ve been holding everything together while quietly believing you’re “too much.” Maybe you’re used to masking, over-functioning, or shrinking so things don’t fall apart. Therapy with Megan focuses on loosening shame and practicing a steadier kind of self-acceptance — especially for neurodivergent adults and parents who are used to caring for everyone else first.
Megan Mitchem is a clinical MSW student intern from Virginia Commonwealth University and will be working with clients from February through August 2026. She offers individual therapy to adults, especially neurodivergent parents and high-achieving professionals who have spent years feeling “too much.” Megan helps clients untangle shame, cultivate steadier self-acceptance, and build ways of caring for themselves as intentionally as they care for others.
