Practice Policies
Guided by our values of sustainability, authenticity, and honoring lived experience.
How we structure sessions, scheduling, and communication.

Session Structure
Individual therapy sessions are 55 minutes.
We encourage clients to begin with weekly sessions to build consistency, trust, and momentum in the therapy process. Some clients may benefit from meeting more frequently during periods of acute stress or significant life transition.
Frequency may shift over time based on goals and clinical needs.
Scheduling & Cancellations
Once sessions are scheduled, that time is reserved exclusively for you and is your financial responsibility.

We require 7 days’ notice for cancellations or schedule changes. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged at the full session rate.
Limited exceptions may be made for emergencies at the practice’s discretion.

Payment & Billing
Session fees are charged to the card on file after each session, typically within one week.

A valid credit, debit, or HSA card must be kept on file for all clients.
If you are using insurance, your out-of-pocket responsibility is determined by your deductible, copay, or coinsurance.
Communication
Prospective clients may schedule a free 15-minute consultation through our website.

Active clients communicate directly with their therapist through the secure client portal, including scheduling changes.
Administrative and billing questions may be directed to discovery@divergentpathwellness.com.
We do not provide crisis services. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Good Faith Estimate
Under federal law, clients who are uninsured or not using insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges.
You may request one at any time.
